This piece was commissioned by The National Art Gallery of The Bahamas for their 2021 onePulse mural exhibition. On the island, the mural was forcibly removed less than a week of its installed based on a few persons deeming it to be racist. For more information visit: http://www.benfergusonjr.com/blog/tag/bahamas
Psychological Violence - CYPAN
Psychological Violence - CYPANWe all know of victims of abuse. One of the violence extremities in The Bahamas is Psychological Violence. Women and men are unfortunately victims. Let's lift one another up. Bring peace.
Live Painting for CYPAN (Bahamas)
Live Painting for CYPAN (Bahamas)On April 27, 2017, it was awesome to be a part of an important initiative of CYPAN that addressed Violence Extremism in our country, The Bahamas. I tackled psychological violence for my live painting. The other 3 artists conveyed sexual, physical and emotional violence.
AE2: "Ladies of Lineage"
AE2: "Ladies of Lineage"2015 Student art exhibition of Central Eleuthera High school. This Art Explosion (AE) featured my class of all girls of the 10th grade , 10 in total.  Their work were predominantly relief sculptures of their faces that we design to represent their lineage. The assignment was based on local Bahamian artist, Edrin Symmonette's exhibition, entitled 'Lucayan Evolution. Part of their assignment was to research their lineage. Not only was this project beneficial for learning about their family but also learning about themselves in connection to their family. Shaped their identity. http://issuu.com/smgbiz/docs/temag15online/1
